John has over a decade of experience providing wealth management advice to individuals and families in over 30 states and abroad.  He began his career in the downtown Jacksonville office of Merrill Lynch & Co. Global Wealth Management Group where he completed the Cannon Wealth Management program and attained the Merrill Lynch "Certified Financial Manager" designation. John joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2002. 
 
John holds the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM certification (CIMA®), which is administered by the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with the oversight of  the Investment Management Consultant's Association (IMCA®).  This involves an intensive education and testing program covering the following areas: investment policy, asset allocation, risk management, tax efficiency, alternative investments, international financial markets, measuring returns on portfolios and due diligence of professional investment managers.   
 
John serves as a Director for Dreams Come True, Chairman of the Foundation Advisory Committee for the Meninak Foundation, and serves on the Darlington Alumni Council.  He is also a member of the Northeast Florida Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, the Investment Management Consultant's Association and a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville.  John served on the Transition Team for Mayor Alvin Brown as Co-Chairman of the Pension Committee; which involved an extensive review of the City of Jacksonville Pension System with recommendations to improve efficiency and management of pension funds.  He also served as the Chairman of the Pension Reform Committee for Mayoral Candidate Audrey Moran.  John was founding Co-Chairman for the Jacksonville Regional Chamber  of Commerce's program "ImpactJAX" in 2005-2006.
 
John is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.  He is a Registered Investment Advisor (Series 63 & 65) holds a Series 7 registration and is licensed in Life Insurance, Health Insurance and Variable Annuities.
 
John and his wife Renee are both natives of Jacksonville and have 2 young children who occupy all of his free time.
